Speed Up Audio Files with the Audipo App

Hi, everyone!  This is Lara Hammock from the Marble Jar channel and in today's video, I'll share how I speed up audio files using an iOS app called Audipo. I think this is my 3rd video on speeding up the playback of videos or audiobooks.  What can I say?  I prefer to listen at about 1.5 speed generally!   Recently I've been working a lot with audio files since many of the trainings that I've been doing offer only the options of listening to the training in a browser or downloading the audio.  Both of these options are problematic to me.  Listening in the browser is annoying since the sound doesn't always continue when you switch away from the browser and the controls are tiny and awkward.  Downloading the audio file means I can switch to another app while it's playing, but I have almost no controls in the standard iOS audio player.  There is not even a way to fast forward or rewind, let alone change the playback speed. Hi, everyone!  This is Lara Hammock from the Marble Jar channel and in today’s video I’ll show you how to slow things down or speed things up on your favorite iOS listening app. Sometimes I’m listening to a YouTube video and they are talking so fast that I can’t keep up!  Or more frequently, I’m listening to a book on tape and the narrator’s vocal pacing is so slow and dramatic that it is absolutely driving me crazy.  Here is the good news!  Most non-music listening apps have anticipated that you might want to control the speed of playback and have built this into their controls. I’m just going to show you how to change the speed on some of the main apps that I use. First, YouTube I have a tendency to speak kind of quickly on these videos. But if you listen to some of my early videos, like my trailer, I speak much more slowly.  They drive me nuts now and I would have to speed them up to make them tolerable to listen to!  Here’s how to do it: af...
